This youth size trucker hat is a digitally creation by Nevada Christianson in Whistler BC. This particular image is of Mourning Cloat butterfly found throughout North America. This butterfly image was originally created for the Suzuki Foundation as part of a climate change education initiative for children. The instruction was to create a nature inspired image that spoke to the power of transformation. The Mourning Cloak butterfly is easily identified because of its unique markings, which makes it the perfect species to introduce to children to deepen their connection to the natural world.
